40周年を迎え、世界で愛され続ける『Usagi Yojimbo』 は、Stan Sakai（スタン・サカイ）先生 によって1984年に初めて出版されたコミックシリーズです。スタン・サカイ先生は京都府生まれ、ハワイ育ちの日系アメリカ人です。
『Usagi Yojimbo』 は複数のアイズナー賞（Eisner Awards） をはじめアメリカのコミック業界でも名誉ある賞を多数獲得。世界18ヶ国で翻訳本が出版されています。
さらに『ティーンエイジ・ミュータント・ニンジャ・タートルズ（TMNT）』などの人気作品ともコラボレーションを果たしていることでも世界的に有名です。 世界的なファンを持ち、今もなおインディペンデント・コミックの中で最も評価される作品の一つとして愛されています。

Usagi Yojimbo is a comic series first published in 1984 by Stan Sakai. Stan Sakai is a Japanese-American, born in Kyoto, Japan, and raised in Hawaii.
The series has won multiple Eisner Awards and is globally recognized for its collaborations with popular franchises such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT).
With a dedicated worldwide fanbase, Usagi Yojimbo continues to be one of the most highly regarded independent comics in the industry.
